Tucked away in a fairly hipster part of Paris is Chez Gladines. A Basque style restaurant that Paris that serves big portions at affordable prices. You won’t get your dinner on china plates and wine in a sparkling glass, instead you’ll get a salad in a dog bowl and wine in a cup.
I got introduced to Chez Gladines by my work colleagues and in turn brought my other colleagues there and even future wife.
My favourite dish was the escalope. It is fully loaded with cheese and a mushroom sauce with slices of potato over a overdone veal. It is huge and every bite is delicious even if it looks like a slop of poop.
